Need Help...I just purchased a trane unit with the air handler. Was told it would be the XR13 model...the condensing unit which is on the roof..says model2TTR3024 and the air handler they put in says its 2TFB3F24B is this ok? Any one who may know please ans Thanks

i would look for an authorized dealer and ask them if this unit is equal to what you purchased.

Ya that is what I will do Thanks. Would you know anything about the TXV and what that means? This trane ac is only rated with a air handler with the TXV and I am not sure if the guy did that when he installed the air handler. WOUld you know if that is already installed at factory? the model is 2tfb3f24b thanks

txv stands for thermo expansion valve. some units use a cap tube. what these  two do is meter refrigerant into your  cooling coil. a txv will be on the bigger of the two lines going into your coil. sometimes it will have a grey head on which it will be round and flat with maybe a small tube coming out of it. a cap tube you will probably see nothing but copper pipe going into your cooling coil. hope this helps
