I have a Rheem unit (about 10 years old, reads "Criterion" on the furnace door),  and the averything works fine, except the fan won't stay continuously "on", and only works when the A/C actually kicks in. I have done some tests, and I can hear some relays click when I turn the fan on without the AC, but still, nothing happens.
If the AC works fine and the blower works when the AC is on, why wont it work without the AC, and yet the relays click alright? are there two separate sets of relays, on for the fan only and the second to be controlled by the AC?

The thermostat is new, and it happened even with the old one.

Thanks.
